About

A clear map of sober living in Los Angeles County.

Sober Pasadena is a directory of sober living homes in Pasadena and the surrounding communities. Its purpose is simple: put every home in one place, show the details that matter — rent, beds, house rules, medication policy, what's within walking distance — and let you contact the house directly.

Recovery housing works best when it's easy to find and easy to compare. Too often the search means scattered listings, out-of-date phone numbers, and prices nobody will say out loud. This site is meant to be the opposite: plain information, kept current, free to browse and free to list.

How the directory works

  • Listings are free. Any sober living home in Los Angeles County can be listed here at no cost, and stays listed at no cost.
  • No referral fees, no lead selling. Nobody is paid for sending you to a house, and your information is never sold or shared. When you call a home, you're talking to the home.
  • Promoted homes are labeled. Operators can pay for a highlighted spot at the top of the page. It is always marked, and it never changes what a listing says.
  • Every listing is written by the home itself. Listings are reviewed for obvious problems before they go up, but homes are not inspected or licensed by this site. Visit before you move in, and ask about drug testing, curfew, meeting requirements, and what happens after a relapse.

For people who want to open a home

Good sober living is scarce because starting a home looks harder than it is. The SLE Startup Guide lays out the whole process for California — what needs a license and what doesn't, how fair-housing law protects a home in a residential neighborhood, how to write house rules and resident agreements that hold up, what insurance to carry, and how to get referrals.
